You can’t even think about starting your morning without your cup of joe. For millions of Americans, this steaming caffeinated beverage is the only reason morning should exist in the first place. Yet as a Fort Collins dentist office, those of us at Rocky Mountain Dental would like you to know that coffee isn’t good for your teeth.
Coffee has an acidic compound that wears grooves and divots into the enamel of your teeth. Once these divots are exposed, the liquid can actually embed itself into the grooves and stain your teeth with the darker color. This can be seriously detrimental for those of us who like to have bright white smiles. However, drinking lots of water after your coffee, using a straw, brushing regularly, and visiting the dentist regularly can allow you to keep drinking java while seeing fewer side effects.
